DO YOU TEST ON ANIMALS?
No. All James Read Tan products are manufactured in accordance with the EU Cosmetics Regulation No 1223/2009 and Schedule 34 of the Product Safety & Metrology etc (Amendment etc) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 UK Cosmetics Regulation which has prohibited animal testing of cosmetic products, including self-tan, since March 11, 2013.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS VEGAN?
Below you will find a link to our products which are currently vegan. As we are constantly evolving and adding new products to the James Read Tan range and we endeavour to ensure that new products are always vegan.

DOES JAMES READ USE ANY MICROBEADS?
No. Microbeads are predominantly used in exfoliating cosmetic products. James Read Tan products do not contain microbeads.
DO YOU AVOID CONTROVERSIAL OR HARMFUL INGREDIENTS / IS JAMES READ TOXIC IN ANYWAY?
All James Read Tan products are manufactured in accordance with the EU Cosmetics Regulation No 1223/2009 and Schedule 34 of the Product Safety & Metrology etc (Amendment etc) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 UK Cosmetics Regulation and as such do not include ingredients that have been found to be harmful. All James Read Tan products are safety assessed by a qualified safety assessor prior to placing each product on the market to ensure they are fit for use and safe for the consumer.
CAN I USE JAMES READ TAN WHEN PREGNANT?
Industry standards suggest that you do not use self-tan in the first trimester. We additionally advise that you consider each product and its ingredients on a product-by-product basis and always do a patch test at least 24 hours before use. If you have any concerns please consult your GP or midwife before use.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS SAFE FOR SENSITIVE SKIN?
Skincare is at the heart of what we do at James Read Tan, as such each ingredient used has been selected for inclusion based on its overall skincare benefits. For sensitive skin we advise that you always do a patch test before using any new James Read tanning product.
CAN I SWIM ONCE I'VE APPLIED JAMES READ TAN?
Please follow the “How to Apply” instructions on each James Read self tan as the development times vary depending on the product, additionally, if the product has a colour guide then this would be washed off by contact with water. Chlorinated water may cause your sunless tan to fade quicker.

DO YOU SHIP WORLDWIDE?

We post to UK addresses only, however, James Read is available around the world via our global distribution network. If you would like more information about stockists in your region, please get in touch via email by contacting us at enquiries@jamesreadtan.com. 

DO I HAVE TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT?
No. You can buy James Read Tan using a guest log in but, if you want access to all the features & benefits of the website you will need to create an account.
WHERE DO I ADD A DISCOUNT CODE?
Redeeming a discount code is straightforward. Simply shop as per normal and when you’re ready to complete your order, go to the checkout to redeem your discount code by adding your code into the ‘Coupon Code’ box. Click ‘Apply Coupon’ and any valid codes will update your basket subtotal.

WHERE IS MY ORDER?

Orders will take 1-3 days to be processed and anywhere between 2-5 days from the date the order was placed to be delivered. If you have not received your order after this period, please get in touch with our customer services team at enquiries@jamesreadtan.com who will be happy to help.
