to mark James Read’s first year a father to his beloved pup, Harley. We sat down with the man of the moment himself to see how fatherhood is treating him so far and what advice he would give to the newcomers of the team!
When did you first get Harley?
I got Harley 4 weeks ago when he was just 8 weeks old.
What does it feel like to be a dog dad?
I’ve found this new love where it has helped me stay grounded. Having such a manic day, coming home to Harley has really allowed me to appreciate some down time without feeling guilty.
What do you love the most about Harley?
I absolutely love his energy; he has his own mind which takes him all over the places. Harley is an extremely caring dog but of course, can be a little mischievous at times. But who couldn’t love him right?
What do you love the most about being a dog dad?
I adore our walks and just having him there by my side. I spend a lot of time at home now, which is the best part as I really get to enjoy every minute of just… living.
Any advice for new dog parents?
I think puppy training is a must! Making sure they are well disciplined and obedient from a young age will help them mould into a better lifestyle once they are older. Also, prepare yourself for all circumstances. The responsibility is overloaded, and it’s just like having a child, yet this child doesn’t talk human!
